36 Hole event conducted over the 2 Saturdays of October, the B & C Championships this year were of a high standard with some very good golf.
Players were able to play freely Round 1, but Round2 was conducted in a block time for the top 16 players c/b only able to win the Championship in both grades.
B Grade Championship Report
Round 1
Low scoring had Dave Wilson and Mich Farag lead the field with a superb +11
Closely followed by Adam Brady +12 and Andrew Barton +13
Round 2
Players for Round 2 were seed with Dave Wilson, Mitch Farag, Adam Brady and Andrew Barton in last group away. As with the main game, players nerves were up for today to try and win the silverware
A couple of bad holes by some of the leaders left Andrew Barton with a great round of +8 to add to Day 1 +13 to win with +21 and take out the 2025 B Grade Championship.
Runner up, Adam Brady came in with +14 on the day for an overall +26
C Grade Championship Report
Round 1
Not to be outdone, C Grade also threw in some low numbers on day 1. Michael Kent +13 jumped early over the field, the closest being Elia Theodore with +15 and Shaun Lee & Darrell O’Loughlin both with +19
Round 2
Also seeded, final group today were Michael Kent, Elia Theodore, Shaun Lee & Darrell O’Loughlin.
Some better scoring today by several players included Geoff Warleigh who posted a +15
In the end, steady scores of +13 & +17 gave the win and 2025 C Grade Championship to Michael Kent with +30
Runner up was Geoff Warleigh scoring +20 plus +15 for total +35
Well done to all players this year.
Again, the trophies were subject to some “frothy” liquids
