Hole 14

Often, this tee shot is into the teeth of a gale and getting over the gorge is the first challenge. The high handicapper should aim for the left side of the fairway because this opens up the green for your second shot. A graders can aim to right because they can reasonably draw the ball into the green. For the average golfer, treat this as a par five and work your second shot to the left side of the fairway, leaving yourself a half pitch to the green. The steeply sloped bunker at the front of the green poses a real danger, so aim your chip shot for the fat of the green. The green slopes right to left and is receptive to a well elevated pitch shot. Danger to the left and at the back of the green, so better short than long.
