Hole 16

A truly daunting hole where the average golfer should consider laying up the second shot, leading to an easy chip onto the green. Off the tee, the high handicapper should aim over the left hand bushes, counting on the fade to land the ball on the fairway. Low handicappers should hit their 160 metre club off the tee, landing the ball at the top of the hill from where you have a real chance of getting on in 2. There is danger at the back of the green where balls can be easily lost, so take care in selecting your club for this approach to the green. There is a severe slope on this green and if a ball can land below the hole, a better result is guaranteed.
